Boundless Ideas Space:
Ideas Space: 24th June

Thursday 24th June 2021 focused on gender identity and growing up under the male gaze driven by award-winning actor and writer Charlie Josephine, who has written Flies, one of the 2022 shows with Shoreditch Town Hall.

Arts Industry Utopia

Inspirational live arts producer & occasional drag king Beth Sitek & community arts practitioner Zorazelda King launched the festivities with a hands-on creative workshop for early-career artists and practitioners building a reimagined industry.

Tell Your Story

Charlie Josephine hosted an intimate creative writing workshop guiding attendees through the skills and techniques to explore their personal stories through artistic expression.

I See You Looking At Me

We invited female identifying young creatives to share their personal stories about growing up in the 21st Century to form an intimate record of the highs and lows of being a young woman today. Participants were streamed into the Boundless Ideas Space throughout the day and on the @boundlessabound social accounts.

Growing Up Under The Male Gaze

The day closed with a lively discussion on the themes of Flies and what it means to grow up under the male gaze.

The Boundless Ideas Space was made possible thanks to Arts Council England’s Culture Recovery Fund and kicked off Boundless’ ambitions to engage young people in new ways around culture across the country in a series of spaces.
