Join us for an evening of fabulous folk music, try your hand at some crafts and witness contemporary sound art and durational performance, culminating in group dance – curated by shelf/break with mentorship from Boundless Theatre.
Embrace anti-imperialist folk culture, queer resistance, and all things wild and witchy with a magic evening of music, performance art, communal muralism, and group dance.
shelf/break is the combined practice of Jane Morris and Néa Ishana Ranganathan, focused on anti-imperialist and site-responsive curatorial work and live art practices. Their flagship project is called ‘undeveloped’: a DIY residency for oppressed artists working in any form. They host moments for community/gathering, support emerging creatives, agitate towards liberation and dream the world as it might be.
Witching Hour is part of the Southbank Centre’s Riverside Sessions, which run throughout the summer to mark their 75th birthday. All the events are curated by young people, but they’re aimed at everyone. So whether you’re 15 or 75, come along to connect with the energy, complexity and joy of youth.

Néa is a transmasc durational, live artist and archivist interested in the documentation of Tamil homeland. As part of shelf/break, he builds objects, sculptures, and zines as a form of archiving practice. They love working in and with the land as a way of building meaningful encounters through clay, body, ritual, protest, and elongating time.
Néa has been part of Boundless Theatre’s Advisory Board cohort from 2025 to 2026, has written for the Boundless Substack and contributed to the development of Boundless Theatre’s programming and initiatives.
Jane is a transfeminine playwright and artist interested in text-based game design. As part of shelf/break, she writes a lot of provocations, text, and scores for mapping out experiences. She loves one-to-one performance and sharing intimate moments of ephemeral encounters with people in clubs and house parties.
Jane’s previous work with Boundless includes writing on Radio Elusia in 2021.
