Tell us about you, who are you and what do you do?

Queer Youth Art Collective (QYAC) is the UK’s only national LGBT youth service working specifically in the arts.

We provide a safe place for young LGBT people to breathe a little easier, share experiences, advice, resources and creativity. QYAC hosts free weekly workshops, run by queer artists. We co-curate exhibitions offer mentoring, social space and resources.

We are based out of Queer Circle in Greenwich London. All workshops can also be attended on Zoom.

Share five words that describe your work around mental health…

Artistic, community building, challenging isolation

How does your work champion youth mental health?

Our work allows for young LGBTQIA+ people to find social networks with people with similar interests and experiences. Allowing for a free space to access arts education and the opportunity to channel your thoughts and feelings through art.
