The Boundless Associate Artist scheme, now in its tenth year, provides much needed ongoing support to playwrights, directors, designers and theatre makers who want to make extraordinary theatre for young adult audiences. Through structured mentoring, access to R&D resources and encouragement to make new work, Boundless Theatre hope to make a positive impact on the broader theatre community in the UK.
Each associate receives a bursary and further access to resources to develop new theatre as well as being supported to make international research trips. The artists will be matched with teenagers and young adults across the 18 month programme and help Boundless reimagine how theatre can be more accessible, relevant and engaging to new audiences.

Rosie trained at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, with a degree in Design for the Stage, (BA (Hons) (First Class)) and is currently Resident Design Assistant at the Donmar Warehouse. Rosie’s selected design work includes, as Designer: Goats (Royal Court); Unknown Island (Gate Theatre); Design Prime Time (Royal Court); Big Guns (Yard Theatre); The Convert (Gate Theatre). As Associate Designer: Seventeen (Lyric Hammersmith); Elegy (Donmar Warehouse). As Assistant Designer: Jesus Christ Superstar (Regents Park Open Air Theatre). Rosie won the Stage Debut Award in 2017.
James has a Master’s degree in Conducting and Composition (University of Hull). He is an Associate Artist of Middle Child and Hull Truck. Elayce works in the UK and internationally as a freelance theatre and opera director, and dramaturg. She was the inaugural RTYDS Associate Director at Northern Stage in 2017/2018. Prior to this she was Resident Director at the National Theatre Studio as the recipient of the JP Morgan Award for Emerging Directors in 2014/2015.
