We produce the best new plays for young adult audiences and curious others, that are relevant, contemporary and ambitious.
Boundless Theatre is committed to discovering the best new plays from playwrights who might not be known to us. We are looking for bold, imaginative work for 15–25 year olds that speaks to the world now from diverse voices. We also champion work in translation and commission new plays from writers that are relevant and exhilarating for young adult audiences.
We welcome scripts from writers’ agents and enquiries from playwrights directly as well as receiving unsolicited submissions from playwrights without an agent in dedicated submission windows. We are currently accepting scripts until 9 December. Please submit your script through the submission form below. Agents submitting a play or any other enquiry should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
What is a Boundless Play
We believe that the best plays for 15-25 year olds are created with this audience specifically in mind and champion any writer who wants to make work that is ambitious and reflects positively our shared diverse culture.
We are committed to reflecting the true diversity of experience and a plural culture in the UK across all of our work so particularly welcome work that may reflect perspectives not often seen.
We can only consider unsolicited submissions that are for live performance and do not read:
– radio plays
We are interested in work that may take place outside of conventional theatre settings and are happy to enter in to a conversation during our submission window with any writer should they have questions about their submission.
For this submission round we are interested in receiving scripts that are 30 minutes or longer, written in English and which have not been previously produced. All scripts will be read by the Artistic and Producing teams, as well as a panel of young adults who represent our audiences. Although we can’t resource feedback to all scripts, we will enter in to conversations with those writers whose work we seek to develop further.
We are currently receiving script submissions until 9 December 2017.
